Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about how Veridion works, who it is for, and what to expect from the investment management process.
How does a managed account with Veridion work?
A managed account is an investment account where Veridion Capital Management manages the capital on your behalf, within the parameters of a formally agreed mandate. You retain ownership of your account and can monitor it through the investor portal. We execute the investment strategy according to the mandate; you do not instruct individual trades.
Who is this offering suitable for?
The Veridion offering is designed for sophisticated investors who understand CFD-based investment strategies, the nature of discretionary managed accounts, and the risk of capital loss. It is not suitable for investors who cannot afford to lose capital, who require guaranteed returns, or who do not understand the instruments used in the strategies. Suitability is formally assessed during onboarding.
Are returns guaranteed?
No. Investment returns are not guaranteed. Capital is at risk. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. We do not make return promises or projections, and any historical performance data shown on this website is framed as representative information only. Individual account results differ.
Is my capital at risk?
Yes. All investments involve risk, including the possible loss of principal. CFD-based strategies carry additional risk due to leverage and market volatility. You should only invest capital you can afford to lose, and you should ensure you understand the strategy you are invested in before committing capital.
How does investor reporting work?
Investors receive monthly account statements delivered to a secure document vault within the investor portal. The portal also provides real-time access to current allocations, capital instruction history, and account documentation. You will be notified when new statements are available.
How do withdrawals and redemptions work?
Capital instructions (including redemption requests) are submitted through the investor portal or by contacting your account team. Redemptions are subject to the terms of your mandate, applicable notice periods, and the redemption process set out in your agreement. Processing times and conditions are communicated during onboarding.
Which entity or jurisdiction applies to my account?
This depends on your country of residence. South African investors are onboarded through our FSCA-licensed South African entity. International investors are onboarded through our offshore entity registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The applicable entity is confirmed during onboarding before any capital is committed.
How are South African and international clients handled differently?
South African clients are onboarded under the compliance framework of our FSCA-licensed entity, subject to the FAIS Act, FSCA conduct standards, and POPIA. International clients are onboarded through our offshore entity and are subject to different regulatory treatment. The applicable investor protections and regulatory requirements differ between these pathways and are disclosed clearly during onboarding.
What documentation is required for onboarding?
Typical documentation includes a valid identity document, proof of address, a completed application profile, and the executed managed account mandate. Additional documentation may be required depending on your jurisdiction, entity type (individual or corporate), or the applicable compliance requirements. The full checklist is provided during the onboarding process.
How does the compliance and onboarding process work?
After submitting your initial enquiry, our team conducts a suitability assessment and compliance review. Identity and address verification documents are collected and verified. Once compliance is satisfied and the managed account mandate is signed, the account is activated and reporting begins. No capital is managed until this process is complete.
What fees does Veridion charge?
Our fee structure is disclosed during the onboarding process and set out in full in your Managed Account Agreement. For a summary overview, visit the Managed Account Agreement page or contact our team.
How do I raise a complaint?
Veridion maintains a formal complaints handling process. All complaints are acknowledged, investigated, and responded to in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Full details, including contact channels, are available on our Complaints Process page.
Is my personal information protected?
Yes. Personal information collected during onboarding and the operation of your account is handled in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) where applicable, and our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I access my documents and statements online?
Yes. The investor portal includes a secure document vault where all account documents (statements, agreements, and compliance records) are stored and accessible. Document downloads use expiring signed links for security. Access requires authentication through your registered account credentials.
