Veridion strategies utilise Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and may operate with leverage. Leveraged instruments amplify both potential gains and potential losses. A relatively small adverse movement in the price of the underlying instrument can result in a loss that is disproportionate to the initial capital deployed. It is possible to lose more than the amount initially allocated to a strategy in certain market conditions.

Investment values are subject to market risk, including price volatility, adverse market movements, and macroeconomic events that may affect the instruments held within the strategy. Veridion strategies are exposed to global equity markets, precious metals markets, and related instruments. These markets can be volatile and unpredictable.

Veridion strategies are executed through third-party broker platforms. While Veridion monitors broker execution on an ongoing basis, we cannot eliminate counterparty risk.

In certain market conditions, it may not be possible to execute orders at the expected price or to exit positions in a timely manner. Liquidity risk is a feature of all financial markets and may affect strategy performance during periods of market stress.

Certain Veridion strategies are concentrated in specific asset classes, markets, or instruments. Concentrated exposure increases the impact of adverse movements in the relevant market on strategy returns.

Strategies denominated in currencies other than your base currency are subject to currency exchange rate risk. Movements in exchange rates may increase or decrease the value of your investment as measured in your base currency.

Changes in laws, regulations, or tax treatment applicable to CFDs, managed accounts, or investment management in your jurisdiction may affect the structure, availability, or tax treatment of your investment. Veridion does not provide tax advice, and you should seek independent advice on the tax implications of your investment.

International investors using the offshore entity pathway are subject to additional jurisdictional risk, including differences in regulatory oversight, investor protection regimes, and legal recourse compared to South African regulated services. These differences are disclosed during onboarding.
