3. Records Available on Request

The following categories of records may be available on submission of a formal PAIA access request, subject to the grounds for refusal set out in PAIA:

  • Investor account records (available to the investor to whom they relate)
  • Compliance and KYC records (subject to confidentiality and regulatory constraints)
  • Internal governance documentation (subject to commercial confidentiality grounds)

4. How to Submit a PAIA Request

PAIA requests must be submitted using the prescribed Form C (available from the South African Information Regulator) to the Information Officer at the address above. A prescribed fee may apply for access to records.

We will respond to valid PAIA requests within 30 days of receipt, unless an extension is permitted and required under PAIA.

5. Grounds for Refusal

Access to records may be refused on grounds including: mandatory protection of third-party personal information; commercial confidentiality; records subject to legal professional privilege; and other grounds specified in PAIA. Any refusal will be communicated in writing with reasons.

6. Remedies

If access is refused, the requester may apply to the Information Regulator or a court for relief as provided for in PAIA. Details of the applicable process are available from the Information Regulator of South Africa at www.inforegulator.org.za.
